232 | Proceedings and Conclusions of the V National Encuentro of Hispanic/Latino Ministry has major responsibility and oversight for the ministry and may be a paid member of the pastoral staff; they are often referred to as the “parish youth minister.” Youth Ministry: Most often refers to parish ministry to, with, by, and for adolescents of high school or junior high age, under the direction of an adult youth ministry coordina- tor. May at times also refer to campus ministry in a Catholic high school. Youth: Young people who are of high school or junior high age, typically 12 or 13 to 17 years old, whether or not they are currently enrolled in school. See also Adolescent. Glossary
